Job Description

First Data Hellas is seeking to recruit a Vendor Management & Procurement Operations Manager for Greek business, who will be responsible to enhance the services, being the liaison point for the geographically dispersed category teams in the region.

The successful job holder will:

Manage a team of 3 resources based locally in the same location performing vendor management and procurement operations, set objectives and ensure these are met or exceeded through strong people management, and timely performance reviews.
Review and introduce new process and tools that automate and improve process ‘adding value’ and reduce administrative time spent by the Vendor Management and Procurement Operations team as a whole.
Enhance the knowledge of the market, suppliers, economic impacts and trends as it will be critical to supporting the organisation and creating an effective sourcing strategy to support the Greek business.
Organise workloads and negotiate critical contracts to tight deadlines, minimising our business risk and maximising our commercial benefit through scale and relationships.
Work closely with business colleagues to understand sourcing requirements, distributing requirements to the geographically dispersed category teams in the region and demonstrate the ability to communicate with Senior Management and Directors globally.
Project support and MI reporting for procurement programmes across Greece, ensuring procurement systems management and controlling financial audit requirements.

Desired Skills & Experience

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in corporate vendor management/procurement in a technology related environment ideally in a finance or service related organisation.
Strong working experience in vendor management and procurement is essential, to support and deliver cost saving programme across all areas of the Greek business and exceed plan.
Very good communication and interpersonal skills will be required to manage across the numerous stakeholders in both English and Greek language
Executing at speed with a sense of urgency and willing to challenge the ‘norm’ will be critical to be successful in the role, along with an entrepreneurial style to drive innovation and new ways to increase efficiencies end to end across the whole supply chain.
Excellent team player with international experience in the financial services industry or similar with a high degree of experience of buying and negotiating across numerous technology categories.

Excellent data analysis to identify cost saving opportunities and contract management skills.
Experience of developing and managing a structure vendor management programme leveraging scorecards and formal business reviews.
