Congratulations Pelion!!!

As the article says » Pelion peninsula is a simple  countryside area of Greece, suitable for all those who want to experience the traditional Greek atmosphere, far from being international touristic and busy. Explore both parts of the peninsula, where you will find plenty of fishermen villages, dozens of tavernas and hospitable people. Be aware that Pelion is a favorite destination for regular Greeks , not  for sophisticated travellers, so don’t go there if you want 4-5* resorts and pampered services.

Just a few 3* hotels are spread on the peninsula, and a lot of guesthouses, villas or apartments to rent. If you want basic accomodation there are a lot of guesthouses to choose from. For the most demanding travellers , you can find even luxury villas/apartments to rent , with breathtaking views of the Pelion coast on your window.

Scenery is great, you will have a «Amalfi -coast» type of landscape ,but not so expensive like there. You will be surprised by the beaches ,some of them really to be considered as top locations (see the Milopotamos beach -is a must !)

Food is simple and tasty , and you will be pleasantly surprised by the value of your bill in almost all tavernas, affordable and competitive. Of course  that fish is a little more expensive , but you can’t beat the freshness !! It’s caught daily in the village where you may spend your holiday.

Some suggestions to visit : Tsagarada village, Milopotamos beach, Agios Ioannis village , Papa Nero beach , Afissos fisherman village.
