According to The National Herald (Eθνικός Κήρυξ ) Greece was voted 2012 top destination for Weddings, Honeymoons and Couples by tour operators around the world, in the Travel Agents Choice Awards. These are the only travel industry awards nominated and voted by travel agents, giving recognition to destinations, tourism boards, airlines and airports, cruise lines, hotels and resorts that offer top quality services world-wide.

China-Greece: The Honeymoon is Far from Over
Greece has also won the «Best Global Honeymoon Destination 2012» award in a competition for best international destinations organized by Ctrip, China’s leading travel service enterprise portal.
Greece was chosen by an experts’ committee chaired by Di Bin, president of the China Tourism Academy, China’s top tourism consultation institute under the China National Tourism Administration. The awards ceremony took place on January 14 at the Consulate General of Greece in Shanghai, and was attended by members of the CTO, foreign officials and media representatives.
