We asked you to show us your retro holiday snaps to capture how things have changed for holidaymakers over the years. Last week we looked at the 60s. This week it’s the 70s, with photos of Greek ferry trips, a day at Warwick castle and lots of flares

There’s not such a happy ending to this roadside picnic in France, 1975. «After finishing our picnic, we set off to explore the meadow behind us only to find it was being used as a toilet for all and sundry,» says the reader. «Worse still, we then realised that we had been sitting amid scatterings of dried human ordure and sun-crisped toilet paper.
