Athens, Aegean Islands cruise for less than $1,500

TourCrafters is offering reasonably priced excursions to Greece that combine a stay in Athens with an Aegean cruise that allows you to sample some of the country’s popular islands according to the http://www.latimes.com.

The «Iconic Aegean» package includes two nights in Athens, with time to take in the Acropolis as well as an evening of dancing and bouzouki music. The four-day cruise makes stops at Mykonos, Patmos and the Monastery of St. John the Theologian, Rhodes and the village of Lindos and the medieval Old Town, Crete and Santorini. The cruise then detours to Turkey and the resort of Kusadasi.

Another package, the «Idyllic Aegean,» also starts with a two-night stay in Athens and then cruises for four days to the islands of Syros, Kos, Ios and Santorini, with a detour to the Turkish resort town of Cesme.

Dates: «Iconic Aegean» cruises depart weekly through October. «Idyllic Aegean» cruises depart weekly in July and August.

Price: $1,405 for the “Iconic” tour; $1,465 for the “Idyllic” tour. Prices are per person, double occupancy. Both packages include accommodations and daily breakfast at the Hotel Airotel in Athens, an Athens by Night tour and a four-day cruise. Hotel upgrades are available. Airfare to Athens is not included.
