According to the GreekNewsAgenda President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias received a group of Greek-American college students from the American Hellenic Institute (AHI) a few days ago at the Presidential Mansion.

«It is very important that you are coming to your second homeland to experience it», Papoulias said to the students, who were accompanied by AHI’s President Nick Larigakis.

This is the fifth year for the two-week educational programme that gathers Greek-American students from across the United States for a trip to Greece and Cyprus. Meanwhile, addressing the 9th Assembly of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association (WHIA) yesterday in Parliament, Goverment Vice President and FM Evangelos Venizelos referred to the importance of Hellenism abroad, stressing that global Hellenism is a real international force.
