Rare book editions, reference material on unique productions staged at «the most beautiful theatre of the world«, gravures, paintings and photographs from the archive of journalist Giorgos Kavvathas offer a vivid illustration of the history of Epidaurus.

Over the last 55 years Epidaurus has hosted the elite of modern artists in its celebrated festival – now, thanks to this unique exhibition  you can also recapture the magic of Rondiris, Koun , Streller, Peter Hall ,Callas, Pina Bausch, Nureyev, Fonteyn and …of many many more !!

The Greek National Opera Orchestra (GNO) will hold an open-air rehearsal of Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly on the pedestrian street of Dionysiou Areopagitou in Thisseion today.

The audience will have the chance to enjoy the emblematic melodies of Giacomo Puccini’s opera about the tragic love affair between a young geisha and an American Navy officer, performed by GNO’s orchestra, chorus and soloists before the grand opening at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus on July 27, 28, 30 & 31 [VIDEO]

The Debating Society of Greece is organizing the 1st Patras International Debate Tournament 2013 at the Conference and Cultural center of the University of Patras from July  26 to 28. The tournament offers «5 rounds of intense British Parliamentary style debating» and the opportunity to relax and have fun in one of the most magnificent sites in the Mediterranean. The finals will be held in English on July 28.
