Description

The Community Manager will be responsible for actively engaging communities around discovergreece.com by managing long-lead editorial calendars, connecting users through ambassador programs and online events, monitoring online conversations and participating in those conversations in a creative way to build brand visibility and thought leadership.

Tasks

1. Content – Writing short articles & social media posts, ideally keeping a creative eye 

2. Social Media – Joining in the dozens of online conversations every day, initiating new ones for Greece and Discovergreece.com
   

3. Community – Getting to know every single online community in Greece (that can be a potential partner and content provider) and abroad (travel bloggers, Greece enthusiasts). Helping to grow our community 

4. Customer Service – Keeping our users happy by creating a rewards program for  the content creators and most active online users, replying to their comments on social media & developing flash polls, contests and competitions 
5. Digital  Content Management – Organization of text, images and videos of discovergreece.com portal

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience 

1. Will already be actively participating in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking and commenting
2. Must have a good understanding of popular social networks – design, functionality, users
3. Have a degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields
4. Be fluent in English and Greek
5. Be familiar with content management and/or editorial production processes
6. Have experience working in a digital agency or digital publisher
7. Be a strong creative thinker
8. Display a strong work ethic, always willing to go the extra mile to make the team stronger
9. Must be a self-starter and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
10. Have experience prioritizing multiple deadlines with great time-management skills
