Tango, the dance from Argentina with countless fans all around the world, will be hosted in Athens from December 5, 2014 to December 7, 2014 offering three days and nights full of dance and tango magic.

The Tango Acropolis 2014 will represent the 1st Official International Preliminary of the World Tango Competition of Buenos Aires. The winners in the categories “Tango Salon” and “Tango Escenario” will be recognised as Champions from Greece of the World Qualifier competition which will be held in Buenos Aires in August 2015.

The festival’s programme will also include free introductory courses open to the public, shows by renowned dancers, “Milongas” Tango nights and performances by dozens of couples who will take part in the competition from Greece and abroad.

The festival is under the auspices of the Embassy of Argentina in Greece, the Greek National Tourism Organisation and the Municipality of Athens.
